This is not a “CRUD Laravel developer” role.
We are looking for a backend-heavy engineer who can design systems, make architectural decisions, and own production systems under real-world pressure.
If your experience is mostly:
Basic Laravel apps
Tutorials or bootcamp-level projects
Copy-pasting solutions without understanding trade-offs
This role is not for you.
What You’ll Actually Be Doing
Designing and scaling high-performance backend systems
Building robust APIs used by web and mobile apps
Solving real-world problems: performance bottlenecks, concurrency, data integrity
Owning system architecture decisions, not just implementation
Working on systems that must handle growth, transactions, and reliability
What We Expect (Non-Negotiable)
You should be able to confidently:
Design a backend system from scratch (not just follow patterns)
Explain why you chose a particular architecture
Optimize slow queries and debug production issues
Implement queues, caching, and background processing properly
Think in terms of scalability, fault tolerance, and trade-offs
Core Stack
Laravel (Primary)
PHP (Advanced level)
MySQL / PostgreSQL
REST APIs (GraphQL is a plus)
AWS / Cloud Infrastructure
Docker & CI/CD
Strong Signals (What Will Make You Stand Out)
You’ve worked on high-transaction or production-critical systems
You’ve fixed performance issues in production
You’ve designed systems beyond monolith basics (modular, event-driven, etc.)
You can defend your technical decisions under scrutiny
You think like an engineer, not just a coder
What You Get
Real ownership (not ticket-pushing)
A seat at technical decision-making tables
Opportunity to grow into Lead / Architect roles
Competitive compensation
A serious engineering environment (no mediocrity tolerated)
