The Sales Account Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing client accounts, and building strong customer relationships.
The role involves understanding client needs, recommending appropriate IT solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction while achieving assigned sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Identify and prospect new business opportunities.
Develop and onboard new client accounts within target industries.
Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients.
Serve as the primary point of contact between the company and clients.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
Manage the sales pipeline and forecast revenue performance.
Solution Development & Proposal Management:
Understand client business needs and recommend suitable IT solutions.
Collaborate with technical teams to design tailored solutions for clients.
Prepare and present sales proposals, quotations, and presentations.
Contracting & Negotiation:
Negotiate and close sales contracts with clients.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
Address client concerns and escalate technical issues when necessary.
Reporting & Market Intelligence:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system.
Prepare and submit sales performance reports to management.
Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
Provide feedback on customer needs, market demands, and product improvements.
Educational Qualification & Experience
Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) in a relevant field.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree with relevant IT certifications.
Minimum: 5 years of relevant experience in sales or account management.
Required Competencies / Knowledge:
Knowledge of IT Products & Services Knowledge (Understanding of the company’s technology solutions) – Industry & Market Knowledge.
Sales & Account Management Knowledge (Sales cycle and pipeline management, B2C sales strategies, Key account management principles, Customer relationship Management.
Basic financial knowledge, including pricing models, profit margins, and contract negotiation.
Understanding of industry trends, market dynamics, client industries and business challenges.
