Through the construction and operation of large scale manufacturing facilities in Nigeria and across Africa, the Group is focused on building local manufacturing capacity to generate employment and provide goods for the people.The Rigger is responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining rigging equipment to safely lift, move, and position heavy loads on the CNG Station. The role ensures all rigging operations are carried out according to safety regulations, operational procedures, and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect rigging equipment (slings, chains, hooks, shackles, cranes) for defects or wear before use.
Assemble, set up, and maintain rigging systems for lifting, hoisting, or moving heavy loads.
Secure loads properly for transport, lifting, or installation.
Work closely with crane operators and signal persons to safely move materials.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all lifting operations.
Maintain accurate records of rigging inspections, load weights, and operations.
Assist with disassembling rigging systems after completion of tasks.
Requirements
Trade test, National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent in Engineering.
Proven experience as a rigger in construction, industrial, or offshore environments.
Knowledge of rigging equipment, lifting techniques, and safety standards.
Ability to read load charts, rigging diagrams, and follow instructions.
Physically fit and capable of handling heavy materials
