The position is based at the Head Office to ensure effective coordination and timely project feedback.
Reports to the Conceptual Design Manager and provides support to Engineering, Installation Projects & Maintenance, Purchasing, and Network Development units.
Works closely with registered contractors and vendors from the Head Office to ensure compliance with company standards.
Upholds TotalEnergies’ safety, environmental, and ethical standards at all times.
Activities
Prepares tender contract documents and Bill of quantities (having knowledge of construction procedures, TotalEnergies HSEQ procedures, building Engineering and materials specifications).
Participates in recommendation of vendors for award through contractor nomination and technical evaluation of Tender bids, including evaluation of contractor’s HSE competence as an eligibility criterion for works.
Ensures proper analysis of all tenders and prepares cost estimates on each job to be done. For best results he/she carries out market survey of building, mechanical and electrical materials on regular basis.
Prepares cost estimates (as an input for yearly budget on projects) by regular data collation and proper documentation.
Ensures that Tenders / Quotations for award of contract are vetted to meet the company’s standards as regards cost.
Monitors contract status on ongoing projects for resolution of contractual claims.
Ensures the supervision of some project works by visiting the sites from time to time.
Visits project sites, taking measurements of on-going works and prepares interim valuation and final accounts on completion.
Arbitrates between the company and the client / contractor when disputes arise in the course of a project or after completion.
Builds up rates that form the basis of tendering and vetting of Quotation / Bill of Quantities having carried out adequate market survey of building and other necessary materials.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications
B.Sc. in Quantity Surveying
National Institute of Quantity Surveyor (NIQS) membership is an added advantage

Minimum of 2 years’ experience
