Production Shift Engineer at Tempo Paper Pulp and Packaging Plc
Tempo Paper Pulp and Packaging Plc is one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of BOPP and CPP film to lamination and packaging industries in Africa. It was established in the year 2005 and commenced production of corrugated carton boxes. The flexible packaging arm of the business (BOPP) was introduced in the year 2011 with the first line while CPP production came into being in the year 2019.Our second line of 8.7 meter width was commissioned in 2022.Purpose of the job
To work with the Shift in charge for the smooth functioning of plant in Shifts and to achieve the targets of production.
Responsibilities
To assist Shift in charge in managing all the production activities in plant
To give feedback of the plant operations to the shift in charge on duty on daily basis
To assist Shift in charge during Product/Micron changeover & during start-up & stoppage
To assist operators in handling scrap
To ensure the right feeding of material in Big silo’s as per Shift in charge instructions
To maintain communication with other personnel to ensure safe usage of equipment
To assist Production supervisor in assembling and dismantling of LLF
To allocate of job to local operators and feeding helpers as per Shift in charge instructions
To manage the in-house issued raw material and recording of empty bags
To monitor the plant parameters and take up quick corrective action in case of deviation
To ensure immediate notification to maintenance section in case of equipment constraint/problems and follow up with maintenance for remedial action
Monitoring of local operators during plant cleaning and assist them to remove dust, contamination and to ensure safe and efficient operations
Training of the local operators on the start-up and shut down of the recycling plant in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications and as per SOP’s.
To get approvals of Nav. Requisitions on daily basis for raw materials and consumables
Recording of data in log books and making Mill Roll Card
Housekeeping of Plant area
Maintaining Safety in Plant area by training others about the safe working environment
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum requirement: Degree / Diploma in Engineering/Science /Any Stream
Added advantage: Degree in Polymer/Chemical Engineering
Experience:
Minimum requirement: 04 years in relevant industry
Added Advantage: More than 04 years in Plastics Industry

Minimum requirement: NIL
