We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Operations Officer to join our passionate team. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our daily operations, supporting program implementation and organizational growth. The ideal candidate will work closely with various departments to manage logistics, coordinate resources, oversee administrative processes, and support compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements. Responsibilities
Coordinate day-to-day operational activities ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and program needs
Manage procurement processes including sourcing, purchasing, and vendor relations to secure quality goods and services timely and cost-effectively
Support the logistics and supply chain management to support program implementation and field operations efficiently
Maintain accurate records of operational transactions, inventory, and assets while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and donor regulations
Collaborate with finance teams to process invoices, budget tracking, and expense reporting related to operational activities
Support the development and implementation of operational procedures, and systems to enhance efficiency and accountability
Facilitate communication and coordination between various departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely resolution of operational challenges
Coordinate the office operations, Office internet, security, utilities, managing state of the office building
Support on the day to day routine activities of HR/Admin in Maiduguri and all field areas
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field is required
Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations management, preferably within a nonprofit or international organization environment
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, logistics, and supply chain management
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail
Proficient in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite and experience with database management
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a diverse team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships internally and externally
Knowledge of donor compliance requirements and operational best practices is highly desirable
