The Mechanical Technician is responsible for the routine maintenance on mechanical equipment (e.g., pumps, conveyors, kiln, Cooler & Bucket elevator).
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Perform routine and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment (e.g., pumps, conveyors, kiln, Cooler & Bucket elevator).
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery.
Identify, diagnose, and resolve mechanical faults promptly.
Document maintenance activities and report issues to supervisors.
Adhere to safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
Participate in plant shutdowns, overhauls, and emergency repairs.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a clean work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or sectional heads
Requirements
OND, Trade Test in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
Minimum of three (3) years relevant working experience.
Good practical and technical skills.
An understanding of engineering drawings and principles.
Communication skills.
Good problem-solving skills.
