KOKO TV is a fast growing music production company, based at London’s iconic music venue, KOKO.
Founded in 2010, we have quickly established ourselves as a major player in the youth music market.
Series 1 of our debut show KOKO POP brought live performances and interviews with the biggest names in pop, including Taio Cruz and Paloma Faith, to millions of young music lovers.
Aired on T4 on prime-time Saturday mornings, the show was carefully targeted to a 15-24 demographic and delivered a suite of brand extension opportunities to our corporate partner.
Following this success, KOKO TV is now exploring a series of exciting new formats.
We are already working with potential media partners and collaborators to produce a number of innovative shows, employing a wide range of production elements: from reality TV to live music performances.
As London’s premier live venue, KOKO has put on shows for many of the world’s biggest artists, including Madonna, Prince, Coldplay and Christina Aguilera.
We have also staged a 30-day iTunes Festival filmed by Endemol, and hosted shows for Disney, AOL and the prime-time TV production, The Album Chart Show.About the job
We are looking for a dedicated and result-oriented General Manager to join our team.
To meet the growing demand for our KOKO Brand, we need exceptionally talented, bright and driven people.
The ideal candidate for the General Manager role will have experience leading all operations, focusing on strategic growth, revenue generation, and staff leadership across broadcast and digital platforms.
You will be responsible for overseeing departmental performance (sales, content, engineering), manage budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
Support departmental Heads in implementing strategic vision and plan
Creation and management of business, sales, creative content, databases especially as it concerns advertisements, projects, partnerships, events, business growth opportunities online
Ability to meet periodic and annual revenue / sales targets
Coordination of advertisements and all special business units of the company to deliver objectives set by Management / Board
Planning, coordination and management of all business-related performance systems
Strategic advice to Management and Board on risks and opportunities.
Oversee the content, sales, production and all operational departments.
Qualifications
Postgraduate Degree in any discipline with demonstrable interest in media, business development, sales and management.
Track record of developing team members; mentoring, nurturing, and achieving growth.
Comfortable in an environment committed to transformation and ability to adapt to the market.
Driven to achieve individual and group targets, goals & deadlines.
Have initiative to work effectively in a fast-paced environment to fulfil objectives
Ability to work with targets and manage teams / resources across the country
Proven record in sales, customer relations management and processes.
An effective communicator with excellent attention to detail.
