The Finance officer will provide strategic leadership and oversight of F-CASD’s financial operations. This role ensures effective financial planning, management, and compliance with donor and regulatory requirements. The position requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and the ability to align financial strategies with the foundation’s mission.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Monitor financial performance and provide regular reports to senior management and donors.
Ensure compliance with donor requirements, national regulations, and organizational policies.
Supervise finance staff and provide guidance to ensure effective financial management.
Manage audits, risk assessments, and financial controls to safeguard organizational assets.
Liaise with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and donors.
Support program teams with financial analysis and resource allocation.
Stay updated on financial management best practices and innovations in NGO finance.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
3+ years of experience in financial management, preferably within NGOs or development organizations.
Strong knowledge of financial regulations, donor compliance, and accounting standards.
Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
