Crawler Crane Mechanics who would be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining crawler cranes and related heavy equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
The role involves working on hydraulic systems, engines, electrical systems, undercarriages, and structural components.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine inspections, servicing, and preventive maintenance on crawler cranes.
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related faults.
Repair or replace defective parts such as pumps, motors, cylinders, hoses, tracks, and control systems.
Troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Inspect and maintain crawler tracks, rollers, sprockets, and undercarriage components.
Conduct safety checks to ensure cranes meet operational and regulatory standards.
Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation.
Perform welding and fabrication repairs when required.
Test equipment after repair to ensure proper functioning.
Follow safety procedures and company maintenance protocols at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience as a heavy equipment or crane mechanic.
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy machinery.
Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Skilled in using diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.
Good problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Physical strength and stamina to work in demanding environments.
Trade tests certification in heavy equipment mechanics (preferred).
Knowledge of safety regulations related to heavy equipment.
