The Counselor will provide professional psychological and emotional support services to patients and clients, while ensuring accurate documentation, regulatory compliance, and adherence to hospital standards.
Key Responsibilities
Provide counseling services to patients and clients, supporting informed decision-making and emotional wellbeing.
Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation of all care information in the appropriate format.
Report departmental issues to the direct supervisor on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
Attend to all administrative functions as assigned by the supervisor.
Carry out duties in compliance with Lily Hospitals’ Health & Safety policies and statutory regulations.
Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients, clients, and staff.
Comply fully with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) 2019.
Requirements
B.Sc. / HND in Guidance and Counseling or a related field (e.g., Counseling Psychology).
2–4 years’ relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within the healthcare sector.
Registered Psychologist or Counselor with a recognized professional body.
Strong customer service orientation.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and people management skills.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
