Financial Policy Formulation & Development:
Assists in formulation and design of financial policies/ planning for effective Balance Sheet management and efficient utilisation of financial resources.
Assist in the formulation and designing of fees and/or pricing structure/ mechanism for products and services offered by the Company.
Costing:
Prepares briefing notes for the Factory Accountant outlining methodologies and assumptions used in costing practices.
Works with the finance team to implement and apply cost accounting policies and procedures as they are derived.
Performs cost analysis to support the operations.
Analyses changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs; completes monthly cost variance analysis.
Creates, implements and monitors the costs for new items.
Assists service review processes with cost intelligence.
Provides information to support key strategic decisions and provide advice and guidance on the implications of business decisions.
Ensures that the costing system supports the VAT.
Accounting:
Accounting Provides schedules, support, and analytics for year-end financial audit.
Conducts balance sheet reviews on assigned accounts and integrate related findings and actions into financial closing and forecasting processes.
Preparation of required budget schedules.
Prepares monthly variance analysis to support accurate and timely reporting of monthly actuals to various internal customers.
Financial Reporting:
Prepares monthly reports as required by the Factory Accountant.
Assists in preparation of monthly management accounts and budget-holder reports and reports on these identifying and explaining any significant trends or variances.
Prepares financial reports on costing and performances as needed.
Qualification and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting and other related field
Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, CIPFA or ACCA).
Minimum of 3 to 5 years accounting experience; cost accounting preferred
Excellent IT skills including advanced Microsoft Excel skills
A proven record of communicating complex financial issues and models in a clear-cut, concise manner to all relevant stakeholders.
Manufacturing sector experience is compulsory.
