Community Engagement Officer at Foundation for Cancer Care
A non-profit organization involved in cancer education and awareness, screening and treatment support.Role Description
Coordinate the implementation of the Foundation's programs – educational, screening and treatment programs.
Coordinate the activities and programs of the Cancer Support Group
Plan and execute logistics needed to conduct the Foundation's educational, screening and treatment programs.
Interface with stakeholders and vendors to aid the implementation of the Foundation's programs.
Pro-actively contribute to day-to-day project implementation and ensure conformity to expected results and project work-plans
Maintain an inventory of all Foundation's educational and promotional materials.
Provide support to the Foundation’s fundraising events
Work with the Program Manager and fundraising team to coordinate, draft, and submit compelling and tailored funding concepts and proposals.
Schedule meetings and draft minutes and action items of meetings
Liaise with other staff and contribute to the organization’s overall effectiveness.
Provide support to other team members in their unavoidable absence.
Any other duties that may be assigned, including dedicated special initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, Social Sciences, Health Education or related fields.
At least 2 years of relevant experience in community mobilization, health promotion and implementation of social impact projects.
Strong communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and data management tools.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Passion for social impact in the health sector.
