The Cath Lab Nurse provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and other interventional cardiac procedures.
The role involves patient preparation, intra-procedural monitoring, post-procedure care, and ensuring patient safety throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization procedures and provide necessary education.
Assist cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures (vital signs, ECG, hemodynamic parameters).
Provide post-procedure care including site assessment, bleeding control, and patient stabilization.
Ensure Cath Lab equipment, medications, and sterile supplies are functional and compliant with standards.
Maintain accurate patient documentation, procedure records, and incident reports.
Adhere to infection control, safety procedures, and hospital policies.
Collaborate with cardiologists, anesthetists, radiographers, and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications & Experience

Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid practicing license.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Cardiology, or Interventional Radiology unit.
BLS and ACLS certifications.
Strong knowledge of cardiac procedures, ECG monitoring, and hemodynamic monitoring.
