The Hub act as a cushy nest designed to accelerate the successful development of social tech ventures through an array of business support resources and services, developed and orchestrated by the hub management and offered both in the space and through our network of partners. In addition, the hub leads co-creation initiatives aimed at creating novel technologically driven solutions to the myriad social challenges facing the average Nigerian. The Project Manager supports the EM Hubs Program Lead in delivering the Entertainment & Media Hubs program in Nigeria. Based at the CEP Entertainment Hub in Lekki, Lagos, the role coordinates day-to-day implementation of the Nigeria workplan – program activities, hub operations, data collection and reporting, and user support for the program’s digital learning platforms – and acts as the Hub Operational Lead for the Lagos hub.
The role suits a well-organized, detail-oriented project manager who can coordinate several activities at once, keep trackers and records up to date, work well with internal and external teams, and follow activities through to completion on time and within budget.
The Project Manager will work closely with program teams across Nigeria and Kenya, MERL, Design & Engineering, Operations, external partners, facilitators, consultants, and other stakeholders to support effective program delivery and continuous improvement.
Scope of the role:
The EM Hubs Program Manager sets program strategy and priorities across Nigeria and Kenya, owns the program budget and risk register, leads donor and partner relationships and fundraising, and approves workplans, budgets, partnerships, publications, and reports.
The Project Manager implements the Nigeria workplan within these decisions, provides information and inputs as requested, and escalates issues to the Program Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
Program Coordination & Delivery
Coordinate day-to-day implementation of program activities in Nigeria in line with the workplan, timelines, and budget approved by the Program Manager.
Maintain the Nigeria activity trackers, implementation schedules, and action logs, and update the Program Manager on progress weekly.
Coordinate the logistics and delivery of workshops, training sessions, residencies, incubators, campus outreach, and storyteller showcase activities, working with facilitators, consultants, and the Community Manager.
Coordinate participant recruitment, selection, onboarding, and communication for program activities.
Track deliverables and deadlines, and flag delays, risks, and issues to the
Program Manager early.
Track Nigeria activity expenditure, prepare procurement and payment requests, and submit supporting documentation to Finance on time.
Ensure activities follow CcHUB policies, safeguarding requirements, and donor or partner requirements.
Hub Operations (Lagos)
Act as Hub Operational Lead for the CEP Entertainment Hub in Lagos, coordinating day-to-day operations in line with the Hub SOPs and guidelines set by the Program Manager.
Supervise the Office Assistants and agree on daily operational priorities with the
Community Manager, who manages front-of-house, studios, and member care.
Coordinate facility vendors and service providers (cleaning, security, maintenance, power, and internet), monitor service quality, and flag contract or renewal needs to the Program Manager and Operations.
Raise and follow up on maintenance, repair, and purchase requests, seeking the
Program Manager’s approval in line with CcHUB procurement policies.
Log and follow up on operational issues and incidents, escalating serious incidents to the Program Manager immediately.
Submit a daily hub operations report to the Program Manager covering hub usage, issues, and incidents, and keep the hub’s asset register and incident lo up to date.
Digital Learning Platforms
Coordinate day-to-day administration of the program’s digital platforms in Nigeria – including the Gender Equitable Storytelling course, Business of
Entertainment LMS, AskPEMI, and Hub Booking System – such as user support, content uploads, and enrollment tracking.
Log user feedback and technical issues, and follow up with the Design &
Engineering team as directed by the Program Manager.
Support outreach to grow Nigerian enrollment and usage, including course promotion and AskPEMI demonstrations.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Data
Coordinate data collection for Nigeria activities in line with the program MEL framework and guidance from the MERL team.
Administer attendance records, surveys, pre- and post-assessments, and feedback forms, and keep program databases accurate and up to date.
Submit complete, quality-checked Nigeria data monthly, and support the MERL team with data cleaning and verification.
Handle participant data in line with consent requirements, CcHUB data policies, and the Nigeria Data Protection Act (2023).
Stakeholder Coordination & Research Support
Serve as the day-to-day contact for participants, facilitators, consultants, and local partners on Nigeria activities.
Schedule stakeholder meetings, take notes, and follow up on agreed actions.
Represent the program at meetings and events in Nigeria when delegated by the Program Manager.
Support desk research, ecosystem mapping, and research dissemination activities as assigned, and provide Nigeria information for proposals and partner updates when requested.
Coordinate with the Kenya-based EM Hubs team to share information and lessons.
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare weekly Nigeria activity updates and monthly activity reports for the Program Manager.
Provide Nigeria inputs, data, and participant stories for program and donor reports compiled by the Program Manager.
Maintain organized program records, contracts, attendance lists, and supporting documentation.
Safeguarding
Ensure facilitators, consultants, and participants are briefed on safeguarding requirements for each activity.
Report and escalate safeguarding concerns promptly to the safeguarding focal point and the Program Manager, maintaining confidentiality.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Program Manager.
Knowledge and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Project Management, Business Administration, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Arts Administration, Media, Communications, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project coordination, project management, or program operations, preferably within the creative economy, media, development, or innovation sectors.
Experience coordinating program activities or events from planning through delivery.
Experience with program data collection, trackers, and reporting; exposure to monitoring and evaluation is an advantage.
Experience coordinating facility, hub, or office operations, including vendors, is an advantage.
Experience supervising support staff or interns is an advantage.
Familiarity with learning management systems or other digital platforms is an advantage.
Strong organizational, time-management, and follow-through skills, with close attention to detail.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare accurate reports and updates.
Proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office and project-tracking tools.
Interest in Nigeria’s creative economy, entertainment, and media sectors.
