Inventory Control Clerk at Terra Energy Services Nigeria Limited

At Terra Energy Services, we maintain a policy of creating a conducive environment for the attraction of the best qualified and motivated staff for performance enhancement.We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Inventory Control Clerk to join our Project Logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, controlling material movements, supporting stock reconciliation, and ensuring proper traceability of materials across warehouse and operational locations.
The role requires strong inventory control discipline, practical warehouse experience, and the ability to work effectively in upstream oil and gas operational environments while maintaining high standards of HSE, compliance, accuracy, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate records of inventory receipts, issues, transfers, returns, and stock balances.
Conduct regular cycle counts, stock verification, and reconciliation of inventory discrepancies.
Maintain accurate material codes, bin locations, documentation, and material traceability records.
Support material reservation, picking, staging, and dispatch for offshore and project operations.
Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and identify slow-moving, excess, or obsolete materials.
Maintain well-organized inventory and warehouse records to support internal and external audits.
Ensure all inventory transactions and supporting documentation are completed accurately and on time.
Escalate stock discrepancies, documentation gaps, and operational risks to the appropriate supervisor.
Qualifications & Experience
OND, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
5–8 years of relevant experience, preferably within the oil and gas industry with strong upstream E&P exposure.
Demonstrable hands-on experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, and material management.
Good knowledge of applicable HSE requirements, operational controls, procedures, and technical documentation.
A relevant supply chain or warehouse management certification will be an added advantage.
Technical Competencies
Candidates should demonstrate practical and recent experience in:
Inventory control and stock management.
Stock counting, reconciliation, and discrepancy resolution.
Material coding, identification, and traceability.
Warehouse and inventory documentation.
ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
Accurate record keeping and inventory reporting.
