Our client is seeking a Strategy Lead, Engagements & Partnerships to provide strategic leadership across client engagements, partnerships, business development, and organizational strategy.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong top-tier strategy consulting background, combining structured problem-solving and analytical rigour with the ability to manage senior stakeholders, structure complex partnerships, and translate strategy into practical programme delivery.
Periodic travel within and outside Nigeria will be required.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strategic frameworks, methodologies, and playbooks across active engagements.
Provide strategic oversight to ongoing and new engagements, including diagnostics, problem framing, theories of change, and course correction.
Manage senior relationships with corporate, philanthropic, government, and institutional clients and partners.
Lead or support major proposals, concept notes, technical bids, and partnership opportunities.
Support financial and commercial modelling, including budgets, deal structures, and investment cases.
Identify and evaluate strategic partnership opportunities aligned with organizational growth.
Advise on partnership structures, roles, contributions, governance, feasibility, and risk.
Work with programme and delivery teams to ensure strategic commitments are realistic and properly resourced.
Support the CEO in translating organizational strategy into priorities, roadmaps, and key decisions.
Identify cross-engagement opportunities, resource conflicts, and strategic risks.
Provide strategic briefs and recommendations to senior leadership on existing engagements and new opportunities.
Qualifications
MBA, MSc, or equivalent postgraduate qualification is preferred.
6–8 years' experience in a top-tier strategy consulting firm.
Strong experience solving complex, ambiguous, and multi-stakeholder problems using structured frameworks.
Proven experience managing senior client relationships and strategic accounts.
Strong financial modelling, quantitative, analytical, and commercial skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing board- or funder-level materials and presenting to senior stakeholders.
Strong commercial judgement and stakeholder management capabilities.
Additional Information:
Experience in Africa-focused development, healthcare, or social impact.
Experience with philanthropic funders, corporate foundations, or government institutions.
Experience structuring public-private partnerships.
Previous experience in engagement management, account leadership, or relationship management.
