We are seeking a knowledgeable and engaging Consumer Electronics Trainer to provide technical and product training on consumer electronics, particularly Television,Air Conditioners (AC), Washing Machines, and Refrigerators.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for equipping sales, technical, and customer service teams with the product knowledge and practical skills required to effectively demonstrate, sell, install, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain these products.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver comprehensive training programmes on TV's, ACs, washing machines, refrigerators, and other consumer electronic products.
Conduct classroom, practical, and on-the-job training sessions for sales, technical, and customer service teams.
Provide detailed training on product features, specifications, functions, benefits, and proper usage.
Train technical personnel on basic installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and fault diagnosis.
Demonstrate the correct operation, handling, installation, and maintenance procedures for products.
Train sales teams on product demonstrations, selling points, product comparisons, and customer objections.
Develop training materials, manuals, presentations, product guides, and assessment tools.
Conduct product knowledge assessments, practical tests, and competency evaluations.
Identify knowledge and skill gaps among employees and recommend appropriate training interventions.
Keep abreast of new product launches, technological developments, and industry trends in consumer electronics.
Work closely with the Sales, Technical, Customer Service, and Product teams to identify training needs.
Provide feedback to management on recurring technical issues, product challenges, and areas requiring further training.
Ensure trainees understand relevant safety procedures when handling, installing, and servicing consumer electronics.
Support product launches by preparing and delivering product-specific training to relevant teams.
Maintain accurate records of training sessions, attendance, assessments, and employee performance.
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes and continuously improve training methods and materials.
Provide post-training support and clarification to trainees when required.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Training Manager or Head of Technical Operations.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or HND in Electrical / Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or any related field with specific experience.
Minimum of 3–4 years of experience in consumer electronics, technical training, product training, installation, servicing, or a related field.
Strong technical knowledge of Televisions,air conditioners, refrigerators, and washing machines.
Practical knowledge of installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic fault diagnosis.
Previous experience delivering technical or product training is an added advantage.
Good knowledge of consumer electronics and relevant safety procedures.
Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
Ability to simplify complex technical information for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Canva,Excel, and other training tools.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-management skills.
Willingness to travel to branches, service centres, or other locations for training when required.
