Job Summary
The Account Assistant will support the Finance department in day-to-day accounting operations, including posting transactions, reconciling records, maintaining financial documentation, and assisting with reporting and audit preparation.
The role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and a good working knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial software.
Job Description
Post daily financial transactions (receipts, payments, journal entries) into the accounting system.
Maintain and update journals, ledgers, cash books, and bank reconciliation statements.
Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
Support invoice processing, vendor payments, and receivables tracking.
File and organize financial documents (invoices, receipts, vouchers) in an orderly and retrievable manner.
Assist with petty cash management and retirement of expenses.
Engage in stock taking and stock counts periodically.
Assist in preparation of schedules for audit exercises (receivables, payables, prepayments, accruals, etc.).
Reconcile supplier and customer statements.
Support inventory and stock valuation reconciliations where applicable.
Perform other administrative and accounting duties as assigned by the Finance Department.
Requirements
Qualifications:
B.Sc or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Basic knowledge of GAAP or other accounting standards.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Must live around Ajah or its Envrions.

Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
