We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee end-to-end logistics and supply chain operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing import operations, transportation, warehousing, fleet management, and third-party logistics partners while ensuring compliance with Nigerian customs regulations and statutory requirements.
This role is critical to driving operational efficiency, cost optimization, and service excellence across the company's logistics network.
Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end supply chain operations, including inbound and outbound logistics.
Oversee import logistics, road transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities.
Manage third-party logistics (3PL) providers, Customs House Agents (CHA), transporters, and warehouse partners.
Ensure compliance with Nigerian customs regulations, import/export documentation, and statutory requirements, including NAFDAC and SONCAP.
Oversee fleet management, route optimization, and transportation cost control.
Monitor logistics performance and implement initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Utilize ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) to manage logistics operations and reporting.
Lead, mentor, and develop logistics teams to achieve operational excellence.
Drive process improvement, digital transformation, and continuous improvement initiatives across logistics operations.
Develop contingency plans, manage logistics risks, and ensure business continuity.
Prepare logistics reports, monitor KPIs, and provide insights for informed decision-making.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless logistics and supply chain operations.
Travel within Nigeria as required to support business operations.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
8–10 years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain, and transportation management.
Strong knowledge of import logistics, road transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
Proven experience managing end-to-end supply chain operations and third-party logistics providers.
Strong understanding of Nigerian customs regulations, import/export documentation, and compliance requirements (NAFDAC, SONCAP).
Experience in fleet management, route optimization, and transportation cost optimization.
Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
Strong analytical, reporting, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
Experience in risk management, contingency planning, and business continuity.
Experience within the manufacturing, oil & gas, port operations, shipping, or industrial sectors is preferred.
Professional certifications in Supply Chain Management, PMP, or related disciplines are an added advantage.
Demonstrated track record of delivering cost savings, process improvements, and service-level enhancements.
Experience leading digital transformation initiatives in logistics and supply chain operations.
