The School Nurse is responsible for promoting and maintaining the health, safety, and well-being of students and staff. The nurse will provide first aid, monitor students’ health conditions, maintain medical records, and support health education initiatives within the school community.

Key Responsibilities

Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff.
Maintain accurate and confidential medical records.
Administer medications in accordance with school policies and parental authorization.
Monitor students with medical conditions and special health needs.
Conduct routine health screenings and assessments.
Ensure the school clinic is adequately stocked and maintained.
Respond appropriately to emergencies and coordinate referrals to healthcare facilities when necessary.
Promote health education and wellness programs.
Maintain hygiene and infection-control standards.
Liaise with parents, teachers, and healthcare providers on students’ health concerns.
Prepare health reports and maintain relevant documentation.
Participate in safeguarding and child protection initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with a valid practicing license.
Minimum of two years of relevant experience.
Certification in First Aid and Basic Life Support.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
