The IT Security Analyst is responsible for protecting organizational systems and data by continuously monitoring, detecting, and responding to cybersecurity threats.

Job Duties

Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM, firewalls, and IDS/IPS tools.
Detect, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity incidents
Conduct vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing
Review system and network logs for suspicious activities
Implement and maintain security controls and best practices
Perform risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies
Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree / HND in computer science, IT, Cybersecurity or related fields with 5-6 years of experience.

Other Requirements:

Knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls)
Experience with Windows and Linux systems
Familiarity with SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection tools
Understanding of cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and risk management
Basic scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) is an advantage
