Regional Trainer at Lumos
Lumos offers clean and affordable solar power to a market of 1.3 billion potential customers who live off the electricity grid.Lumos enables people to replace hazardous and expensive kerosene generators and lanterns with modern solar electricity that can power lights, cellphones, fans, computers, TVs and other small electronic devices (all at once, every day). By offering Solar Power as a Service, Lumos offers homes and small businesses a simple and affordable way to pay for electricity in small installments using their mobile phones
Responsibilities
Deliver capability-building and business intervention training to community business partners to drive business growth and improve performance.
Conduct training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and development opportunities.
Collaborate with management and relevant stakeholders to design training solutions aligned with business objectives.
Develop and continuously update training curricula, learning materials, and facilitator guides.
Facilitate engaging, interactive, and impactful training sessions using effective adult learning methodologies.
Coordinate all training logistics, including scheduling, venue arrangements, participant communication, and training materials.
Build and maintain strong relationships with sales team to foster a culture of continuous learning and performance improvement.
Monitor trainees after completion of the Training Academy, providing on-the-job coaching, mentoring, and performance support to ensure effective application of acquired knowledge and skills.
Conduct periodic field visits to support trainees, assess performance, and reinforce training outcomes.
Ensure 100% adoption and effective utilization of technology-enabled work tools by trade partners.
Track, monitor, and achieve assigned training KPIs and performance targets.
Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of training programmes, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
Maintain accurate training records, attendance reports, assessments, and other learning documentation.
Stay informed of industry trends, best practices, and emerging learning technologies to continuously enhance training programmes.
Requirements
HND or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum of five (5) years' relevant experience in training, learning and development, sales capability, or community/business partner development.
Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities.
Experience in developing training content and delivering both classroom and field-based training.
Strong analytical, reporting, and organisational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and digital learning or productivity tools.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet performance targets.
Willingness to travel frequently to support trainees and trade partners at various business locations following the Training Academy.
