The office holder will act in the capacity of a factory cost controller and fixed assets accountant. The role comes with a blend cost and assets accounting, controls, budget and audit supports, and finance leadership.
Job Details
Cost Control
Track daily operational costs across slaughtering, processing, packaging, and distribution with a view to ascertaining production cost per unit of output and order.
Identify and investigate discrepancies between standard and actual costs (materials, labour, utilities) of production.
Partner closely with the Engineering Team on monthly review of Energy and Maintenance costs.
Partner closely with Warehouse Team on inventory reconciliation, stock write- off and other reporting matters.
Prepare monthly cost reports, gross margin analysis, SKU profitability and landed cost calculations.
Support the preparation of monthly forecast and annual budget for the business unit, aligning with production targets and sales forecasts.
Recommend efficiency improvements in energy use, labour allocation, and supply chain management.
Fixed Asset Accounting
Manage sub-fixed asset register for the slaughterhouse.
Partner with the Production and Engineering Team on CAPEX requirement, raising and seeking approval for CAPEX.
Own the end-to-end process of asset capitalisation, depreciation and write-off/disposal/retirement considering all necessary control procedures and approvals.
Coordinate external and internal visitors for asset verification and/or valuation exercises.
Skills and Qualifications
Strong knowledge of manufacturing overheads, BOM (Bill of Materials), and product costing.
Ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP and/or MS Nav 365), and Advance Ms Excel Skill.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; (ACA/ACCA/CIMA added advantage).
Minimum of 5 years proven experience preferable in an FMCG Company.
