The Finance Accountant (Events & Activations) will be responsible for managing the financial processes and accounting activities related to the company's events, activations, experiential marketing projects, and operational activities. The role ensures accurate financial record-keeping, project budgeting, expense tracking, vendor payment processing, statutory compliance, and financial reporting.
S/he will work closely with the Operations, Production, Procurement, and Project Management teams to ensure all event and activation projects are financially controlled, properly documented, and delivered within approved budgets. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent accounting knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced experiential environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records, including invoices, receipts, and payment documentation.
Ensure cost control with vendors
Process vendor payments and staff reimbursements in line with company policies.
Prepare budgets for projects, events, and internal departments.
Track project expenses and ensure costs remain within approved budgets.
Perform bank, vendor, and account reconciliations regularly.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Prepare financial summaries and reports for management review.
Ensure compliance with financial procedures, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
Liaise with vendors and internal teams regarding payment schedules and documentation.
Process payroll, PAYE, VAT remittances, and ensure compliance with all statutory and government regulatory requirements.
Support audit processes by organizing financial records and required documentation.
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in accounting or finance with an experiential marketing agency, events company, advertising agency, or project-based environment.
Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
Experience managing event/project budgets and vendor payments is highly desirable.
Knowledge, Skills & Attitude
