Nutri K Limited is dedicated to the fight against malnutrition in Nigeria. The company specialized in manufacturing nutritional food used for the care of children affected by malnutrition.General Objective
The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements, and supporting management with reliable financial information to enable effective decision‑making.
Responsibilities and Task
Accounting & Financial Operations:
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date accounting records in accordance with company policies and accounting standards
Record all financial transactions, including purchases, sales, payments, and receipts
Ensure proper cost allocation for raw materials, production, labour, and overheads
Manage fixed assets register and depreciation
Financial Reporting:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Prepare trial balances, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
Support management in budget preparation and financial forecasting
Provide variance analysis between actual results and budgets
Cost Accounting (Manufacturing Focus)
Monitor production costs and analyse cost variances
Ensure accurate inventory valuation (raw materials, WIP, finished goods)
Support stock counts and reconcile inventory differences
Compliance & Controls:
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and internal controls
Prepare and file tax returns (VAT, withholding tax, corporate tax where applicable)
Support internal and external audits
Maintain proper documentation and archiving of financial records
Cash & Payables Management:
Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
Manage supplier payments and ensure timely settlement
Follow up on receivables in coordination with sales and management
Other Responsibilities:
Support process improvement initiatives within the finance function
Perform any other finance‑related duties assigned by the Deputy Finance Manager
Requirements
Education Degree: Technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance (Diploma, Technical Certificate, or equivalent). Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is an advantage.
Work experience: Must have 2–3 years’ experience in manufacturing maintenance.
Computer skills: MS Word, MS Excel & Outlook
Language skills: English.
