We are seeking an experienced IT Officer to support and maintain the IT infrastructure of a fast-paced plastic manufacturing company.
The successful candidate will ensure the smooth operation of production-related systems, office networks, hardware, software, and communication platforms while providing timely technical support to employees across the factory and administrative departments.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and support the company's IT infrastructure, including computers, servers, printers, and network equipment.
Provide technical support to factory and office staff, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
Monitor and maintain network performance to ensure uninterrupted operations within the production facility.
Support manufacturing systems, production software, and data collection tools used in factory operations.
Manage user accounts, system access, and email platforms.
Perform regular system backups and implement data security measures to protect company information.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues affecting production-related IT equipment and office systems.
Coordinate with external vendors for IT equipment maintenance, software licensing, and system upgrades.
Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets and ensure all equipment is functioning optimally.
Assist in implementing IT policies, cybersecurity measures, and technology improvements across the organization.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2–4 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Good understanding of computer hardware, software applications, networking, and Microsoft 365.
Experience supporting factory-floor IT systems, CCTV systems, and network infrastructure is an advantage.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a production-driven environment and respond promptly to technical issues.
Professional certifications such as CompTIA, CCNA, or Microsoft certifications will be an added advantage.
