The Investor Relations Lead is responsible for managing the Company’s relationships with shareholders, analysts, regulators, and the broader investment community. The role ensures transparent, timely, and compliant communication of financial performance, strategy, and outlook, while supporting capital market credibility and shareholder confidence in line with NGX and SEC Nigeria requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Investor & Capital Markets Engagement
Serve as the primary point of contact between the Company, its shareholders, analysts, fund managers, and the investment community.
Manage relationships with institutional and retail investors, local and international analysts, and stockbrokers.
Organize and coordinate investor briefings, earnings calls, annual general meetings (AGMs), roadshows, and capital‑market engagements.
Support equity and debt capital‑raising activities, including rights issues, bonds, or other market transactions.
Financial Communication & Disclosure
Lead the preparation and release of investor communications, including:
Quarterly and annual financial results presentations
Earnings announcements and press releases
Investor presentations, fact sheets, and corporate profiles
Ensure consistency and clarity of messaging between financial performance, corporate strategy, and long‑term value creation.
Coordinate financial disclosures in compliance with NGX Listing Rules, SEC Nigeria regulations, and other applicable laws.
Compliance, Governance & Regulatory Liaison
Ensure all investor communications comply with disclosure requirements and corporate governance codes.
Work closely with Legal, Company Secretariat, and Finance teams on market‑sensitive disclosures.
Support regulatory filings and announcements to the NGX and SEC.
Monitor insider information controls and fair disclosure practices.
Market Intelligence & Analysis
Track market trends, analyst coverage, peer performance, valuation metrics, and shareholder movements.
Gather and synthesize investor and analyst feedback for executive management and the Board.
Prepare regular reports on investor sentiment, market perception, and shareholder analysis.
Internal Advisory & Leadership Support
Advise the CFO, CEO, and Board on investor expectations, market positioning, and communication strategy.
Prepare senior executives for investor meetings and public market engagements.
Contribute to strategic initiatives by providing capital‑markets insights and perspectives.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related discipline.
A professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, CFA, or an MBA is strongly preferred.
Minimum of 8–12 years’ experience in investor relations, corporate finance, equity research, investment banking, or financial strategy.
Demonstrated experience working within a listed company environment, preferably on the Nigerian Exchange.
Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, valuation, and capital markets in Nigeria.
