Five Teams Empowerment Initiative (5TEi) is a Frontline National Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with dual mandate in Humanitarian and Development work and has presence states in Nigeria with most of its work in Northeastern in Nigeria. Its programming landscape covers addressing needs and building capacities for resilience and responsive communities through focusing on five (5) key sectors of Healthcare and Health Systems, Nutrition and Livelihood, Education and Behavioral Change, Water Sanitation and Hygiene, General Protection and Gender Mainstreaming.Purpose of the Position
The procurement intern supports the procurement and supply chain team in ensuring efficient, transparent, and cost-effective purchasing processes within the organisation; market research; inventory tracking; and compliance with procurement policies, while gaining practical experience in procurement operations.
Assist in purchasing requests, purchase orders, and procurement documentation.
Support vendor sourcing, supplier registration, and quotation comparison.
Help maintain procurement records, databases, and filing systems.
Track delivery schedules and follow up with suppliers on pending orders.
Assist in conducting market surveys and price analysis.
Support inventory and stock monitoring activities.
Ensure procurement processes comply with organisational policies and donor requirements.
Supports logistics and administrative tasks related to procurement operations.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling procurement information.
Perform any other duty assigned by the procurement officer or supervisor.

Accurate and timely procurement documentation.
Update supplier and procurement records.
Timely follow-up on purchase orders and deliveries.
Proper filling and documentation of procurement activities.
Procurement reports submitted within deadlines.
Compliance with procurement procedures and policies.
Effective support to procurement and logistics operations.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in: Procurement and supply chain management.Business administration, Logistics and supply chain management, Accounting, Economics Or related field.
Experience.
Previous internship, volunteer work, or administrative experience.
Basic understanding of procurement procedures and supply chain operations is desirable.

Fluency in English; Kanuri, Hausa, or Fulani is an advantage.
