As a Building Maintenance Worker, you will be an essential part of our property management team, responsible for the upkeep and functionality of our buildings. This is a full-time position offering 40 hours per week with competitive compensation of $34.62 per hour. The position requires flexibility in scheduling, with availability needed during early morning, morning, day, evening, night, weekend, and on-call shifts. Overtime opportunities are also available for those willing to take on additional hours.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and waxing hallways, floors, and stairs throughout the property. You’ll operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse from all common areas. The role also involves emptying trash cans and waste containers regularly to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Cleaning and Maintenance Tasks
Additional cleaning duties include washing windows, interior walls, and ceilings to maintain a pristine appearance throughout the buildings. You’ll be responsible for cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms and fixtures regularly, ensuring all sanitary facilities meet health and safety standards. Seasonal tasks such as cleaning snow and ice from walkways and parking areas will also be part of your responsibilities, especially during winter months.
Repairs and Maintenance
You’ll make adjustments and perform minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems. When major repairs are needed, you’ll contact qualified tradespersons to ensure issues are addressed promptly. The position includes performing minor repairs on appliances, as well as other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair.
Property Management Support

You’ll perform safety and security checks regularly to ensure the property remains safe for all occupants.
