Lead Mechinical Engineer at Ariosh Limited
Ariosh delivers engineering and construction services in the onshore, offshore and subsea segment of the oil and gas sector in Nigeria, West Africa.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Provide mentorship and leadership to Mechanical discipline.
Provide technical support to the mechanical team .
Ensure Mechanical discipline work is well aligned with projects schedule and budget.
Ensure the Mechanical standards, procedures, and calculation sheets are updated and applied in discipline work .
Determine the discipline recruitment requirements and liaise with Human Resources for hiring required personnel .
Determine the discipline training requirements and plan both in-house and 3rd party training as needed.
Training and development of Mechanical discipline engineers .
Evaluate the performance of Mechanical department personnel and provide feedback.
Develop new procedures, design standards/guidelines as required to improve the performance the team .
Support bid preparation by providing the required manhour and schedule .
Coordination of inter disciplinary checks, design reviews and HAZOPS or similar.
Review and manage projects and general specifications, engineering procedures and engineering policy.
Coordination with Project, client, subcontractors and suppliers as applicable, as well as coordination with other disciplines.
Qualifications/Competence
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
14 years of Mechanical design experience of oil and gas project and prior team management experience .
Working knowledge of relevant international codes, standards, regulations and practices applicable to design and Broad knowledge of oil and gas facilities and project management.
Familiar with Clients’ standards such as Shell DEPs, ExxonMobil’s GP and/or Chevron’s CES.
Registered professional engineer.
