Position Overview
Role Summary
As a Heavy Equipment Operator with Adept Landscape & Construction Inc., you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery to support our landscaping and construction projects. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. You will work closely with other team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently, on time, and according to specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include operating heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and specialized machinery like pile driving cranes. You will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements. Additionally, you must understand the purpose, proper usage, and information found on material safety data sheets (MSDS). Other duties include completing onboard and other logs, conducting pre-operational checks on equipment, securing special attachments to equipment, and operating various equipment to load, unload, and move materials and products.
Qualifications and Requirements
Previous experience in landscaping or a related field is required for this position. While formal education requirements are not specified, candidates should possess a thorough understanding of heavy equipment operation and safety protocols.
