The Opportunity
We are seeking qualified Family Physicians to join our growing healthcare team in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This full-time, permanent position offers a competitive salary range of $350,000 to $600,000 annually, with the specific compensation subject to negotiation based on experience, qualifications, and other factors. Position Overview
This is a permanent, full-time position requiring availability during day, evening, and weekend hours to ensure comprehensive patient coverage. We have two vacancies available, and we’re looking for motivated physicians who are passionate about family medicine and committed to providing exceptional healthcare services to our patients.
Required Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must hold certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP) or equivalent certification recognized by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. Additionally, all applicants must possess valid licensure by provincial or territorial authorities in Canada. These requirements ensure that our physicians meet the highest standards of medical practice and patient safety.
Professional Responsibilities
As a Family Physician with Medicentres, you will be responsible for comprehensive patient care across various aspects of family medicine. Your duties will include collecting medical information from patients, family members, and other medical professionals to build complete patient profiles. You will examine patients’ health conditions to identify diseases and injuries, providing accurate diagnoses and developing appropriate treatment plans.
Patient Assessment and Diagnosis
You will play a crucial role in patient assessment, carefully examining patients to identify health issues and develop appropriate treatment strategies. This includes ordering laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures to determine the most effective medical interventions. Your diagnostic skills will be essential in providing accurate assessments and developing personalized care plans for each patient.
Health Promotion and Education
A key aspect of this position involves helping patients develop healthy habits, break old habits, and reshape their approach to wellness. You will provide health education and counseling to empower patients to make informed decisions about their healthcare. This includes advising patients on preventive care, healthy lifestyle choices, and disease management strategies.
Collaborative Healthcare
You will work collaboratively with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients’ physical and mental health. Treatment and Medication Management

Public Health Reporting

Primary Care Coordination
You will coordinate or manage primary patient care, ensuring continuity of care and appropriate follow-up. Acute Care Management
