Position Details
This Food and Beverage Server position is a permanent, full-time employment opportunity. The role requires flexibility in scheduling, including morning, day, evening, night, and weekend shifts. The position is available immediately, and we’re looking for candidates who can start as soon as possible. The work location is on-site at our Chapleau restaurant.

Qualifications and Requirements

Key Responsibilities
As a Food and Beverage Server at Bienvenue Restaurant and Pub, you’ll play a vital role in creating positive dining experiences for our customers. Your responsibilities will include both direct customer service and operational support to ensure the smooth functioning of our restaurant.
Customer Service Duties
Your primary focus will be on providing exceptional customer service. This includes greeting patrons as they arrive, presenting menus, making personalized recommendations based on customer preferences, and answering questions about our food and beverage offerings. You’ll need to be knowledgeable about our menu items, including daily specials, and able to describe them enticingly to customers.
Order Management
You’ll be responsible for taking customer orders accurately and efficiently, then relaying these orders to the kitchen and bar staff. This requires attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple orders simultaneously during busy periods.
Food and Beverage Service
Preparing and serving specialty food at customers’ tables is a key aspect of this role. You’ll need to ensure that all orders are prepared according to specifications and presented attractively. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for serving beverages promptly and maintaining appropriate beverage levels throughout service.
Payment Processing
At the conclusion of the dining experience, you’ll present bills to customers and accept payment in various forms, including cash, credit or debit cards, travelers’ cheques, or room billings. You’ll need to process these transactions accurately using our electronic cash register and point of sale system.
Table Maintenance
Maintaining a clean and organized dining area is essential. You’ll be responsible for clearing and cleaning tables, trays, and chairs promptly after guests leave. This ensures that the restaurant remains presentable and ready for incoming customers.
Staff Supervision
As an experienced server, you may be required to supervise other servers and bussing staff during your shifts. This includes delegating tasks, providing guidance on service standards, and ensuring that the team works together efficiently to maintain high-quality service.
Staff Management
Additional responsibilities may include helping to schedule staff, ensuring adequate coverage during all operating hours, and training new staff members on restaurant procedures, menu knowledge, and service standards.
Customer Relations
Addressing customers’ complaints or concerns professionally and effectively is an important part of this role. You’ll need to listen attentively to customer feedback, take appropriate action to resolve issues, and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction.
Special Assistance
You’ll be expected to assist clients or guests with special needs, including those with dietary restrictions, mobility challenges, or other requirements.
