About the Job
The Position requires knowledge of Electrical and Instrumentation engineering as applicable in cement production. Responsible to execute independently work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of techniques, procedures and criteria.
What you will be doing
Ensure availability of all electrical and instrumentation equipment for production.
Execute Predictive and Preventive Maintenance Schedules with minimum supervision.
Ensure Compliance with Health and Safety Procedures during task execution.
Follow-up with Lead Engineer on work plan execution.
Co-ordinate and supervise third party contractors
Ensure the efficient use of energy on the Clinker production plant and the cement mills.
Ensure safety of the plant and personnel and ensure the protection of the environment in compliance with ISO 14001.
Ensure compliance with the instructions and requirements for personal safety, fire safety and industrial hygiene based on LAP Group standards on health & safety.
Requirements
Trade Test 3 – Mechanical, NABTEB or City and Guilds
​Minimum of five (5) years in modern integrated cement/large scale industry in the similar field.
Hands-On experience on ABB and Siemens Variable Frequency/Speed Drives.
Knowledge of Medium and Low Voltage Electric Motors and their Applications.
Knowledge of ABB Switch-Gears.
Knowledge of 11KV/400V Power Distribution Panels and Motor Centre.
Knowledge of Cement Industrial Instrumentation and Controls.
Ability to work under pressure with little or no supervision
