Role Summary
MyJobMag is hiring a Digital Marketer to own social media, content and growth. The person in this role is judged on two numbers: organic website growth (tracked in GA4) and social media growth across our active platforms. Everything else, content calendars, captions, blog briefs, on-page SEO, community engagement, is in service of those two outcomes.
If you need close supervision to produce work, this role isn't for you. We expect ownership.
Responsibilities
Social Media
Own the content calendar across LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok where relevant.
Write, schedule, and publish 5 – 7 posts per platform per week (volume to be agreed in first 30 days, not negotiated weekly).
Engage daily with comments, DMs, and relevant conversations – community management is part of the role, not optional.
Run monthly performance reviews and adjust the plan based on what the data says, not what feels good.
Content Writing
Produce 5 – 8 SEO-optimised articles per month for the MyJobMag blog (career advice, job market insights, employer content, etc.).
Brief, edit, and publish guest or freelance contributions when required.
Maintain editorial quality – clear, useful, and written for the actual reader, not for the algorithm alone.
SEO
On-page SEO for every published article: keyword targeting, meta titles/descriptions, internal linking, image alt text, headings.
Monthly keyword research aligned to job-seeker and employer intent.
Coordinate with developers on technical SEO fixes (you don't need to fix them yourself, but you need to identify and escalate them).
Track rankings for priority keywords and report movement.
Quarterly performance:
Organic sessions: minimum 10% QoQ growth after the first 90 days.
Average Social following: minimum 8% QoQ growth after the first 90 days.
Requirements
Must-have:
2 – 4 years in a digital marketing role with social and content responsibility (agency or in-house).
Demonstrable writing portfolio – links to published articles, not just claims.
Working knowledge of GA4. You should be able to build a custom report without help.
Hands-on with on-page SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Ubersuggest, or similar – proficiency in one is fine).
Strong written English. We will test this.
Basic Canva or design ability for social creatives.
Experience in the jobs/recruitment, HR-tech, or media space is a plus.
