Sim Impacting Lives Foundation is an independent, non-governmental and non-profit organization established by a woman with immense passion in the humanitarian and development sector with experiences in different sectors to promote Girls, women and children capacity development and provide opportunities for the vulnerable and less privileged in the society. It is a registered foundation under Nigerian law, registered as a corporate organization with Corporate Affairs Commission in Abuja. SILF is involved in different areas of work to promote the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The areas of focus include but are not limited to, Poverty, zero hunger, health, education, clean water and sanitation, gender equality, research, environment and climate change, girls’ and women’s empowerment, and Social and Economic Advancement. We promote and secure vulnerable and marginalized Girls, children, and women by providing them with opportunities and making them initiative and capable through result-oriented research and programmes.Role Overview
SILF is recruiting committed and passionate Community Outreach Volunteers to join our growing volunteer network and support ongoing outreach activities across multiple communities.
This is not a one-time engagement.
Selected volunteers will be engaged periodically across various interventions throughout the year.
This is a volunteer (non-paid) role. No monetary compensation is provided.
Program Focus Areas
Humanitarian Support (Including Malaria Intervention)
Volunteers will support life-saving humanitarian activities, including:
Malaria testing, treatment, and community awareness
Distribution of insecticide-treated mosquito nets (ITNs)
Food distribution to vulnerable households
Clothing and non-food item (NFI) distribution
Outreach in IDP camps and crisis-affected communities
Emergency and community-based relief interventions
Women & Youth Empowerment
Volunteers may support empowerment-focused programs, including:
Skills development (digital, vocational, leadership)
Entrepreneurship and small business support
Career coaching and employability programs
Financial literacy and inclusion initiatives
Programs supporting vulnerable women, youth, and persons with disabilities
Mental Health & Psychosocial Support (MHPSS)
Volunteers may also contribute to:
Community mental health awareness and sensitization
Psychosocial support activities in communities and IDP settings
Support for vulnerable individuals, including GBV survivors
Anti-stigma campaigns and resilience-building programs
Key Responsibilities
Volunteers will:
Support community mobilization and outreach activities
Assist in malaria intervention and humanitarian distributions
Participate in awareness campaigns and sensitization programs
Support beneficiary registration and basic data collection
Provide logistics and field support during interventions
Represent SILF professionally and uphold community dignity and inclusion
Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking individuals who:
Are passionate about humanitarian work and community development
Are available for ongoing/periodic volunteer engagement
Reside in or can easily access the target locations
Have strong communication and teamwork skills
Are reliable, proactive, and committed
Have prior volunteer or NGO experience (an added advantage)
