A Hotel Sales Representative (often called a Sales Executive or Sales Manager in hospitality) is responsible for generating revenue by promoting the hotel’s rooms, event spaces, and services to clients.
Job Summary
The Hotel Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and promoting the hotel’s services, including accommodation, conferences, and events.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new sales leads (corporate clients, travel agencies, event planners, etc.)
Promote hotel rooms, meeting spaces, and event packages
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
Conduct sales calls, meetings, and hotel tours for prospective clients
Negotiate rates and contracts to close deals
Achieve monthly and annual sales targets
Collaborate with marketing and front office teams to align sales strategies
Prepare sales reports and forecasts
Attend trade shows, networking events, and industry functions
Handle client inquiries and provide customized proposals.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Business, or related fields (preferred)
Proven experience in sales (hospitality experience is an advantage)
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Customer-focused attitude
Ability to meet targets and work under pressure
Good organizational and time management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
