Logistics Assistant at Malteser International
Malteser International is a non-governmental organization with headquarters in Europe and America. The organization’s General Secretariat, as well as its European headquarters are located in Cologne, Germany. The American headquarters are based in New York City, USA.
The international network of the Order of Malta plays an essential role in our work, allowing us to help people in need quickly and efficiently. Currently, 27 national associations and priories of the Order of Malta are members of Malteser International, and actively support the organization within their jurisdictions. Currently, both regional branches in Europe and the Americas serve as associate members.Responsibilities:
Provide overall support for logistics management at the Katsina location
Assist in implementing procurement and logistics procedures in line with organizational and donor regulations
Support preparation and processing of procurement documents, including bids and purchase requests
Follow up on Goods Received Notes (GRN) and Job Completion Certificates from program teams
Maintain proper filing systems and documentation for all logistics and procurement activities
Manage warehouse/store operations and ensure regular asset tagging and inventory updates
Coordinate vehicle requests, travel arrangements, and other logistical needs as required by the supervisor
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics and Procurement, Business Administration, and or any related field of discipline
Minimum of 2–3 years relevant experience, preferably in an NGO or development sector
Basic knowledge of stock counts, assets, inventories, and fleet management
