Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Generator Assembler to join our production team. This role involves assembling, wiring, fitting, and testing electrical components of diesel and gas generator sets in accordance with engineering specifications and industry standards.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical ability, hands on assembly experience, and a strong commitment to quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Assembly & Wiring:
Assemble electrical components, wiring harnesses, control panels, and power distribution systems for generator sets.
Read and interpret electrical diagrams, technical drawings, and schematic layouts.
Install alternators, circuit breakers, controllers, sensors, and other electrical components accurately.
Mechanical Integration:
Assist in fitting mechanical components such as engines, alternators, mounts, fuel systems, and enclosures.
Ensure proper alignment, fastening, and torque requirements during assembly.
Support the integration of electrical and mechanical systems for seamless generator performance.
Testing & Quality Assurance:
Conduct basic functional tests on electrical components and finished generator sets.
Identify and troubleshoot electrical faults or assembly issues.
Ensure all assemblies meet company quality standards and safety regulations.
Complete inspection checklists and document test results.
Safety & Compliance:
Follow company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace.
Report any safety concerns, defective parts, or quality issues promptly.
Collaboration & Documentation:
Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and quality control teams to ensure timely production.
Maintain accurate records of completed tasks, materials used, and any modifications made.
Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance production efficiency.
Requirements
Educational Qualifications:
Technical diploma, trade test, or certification in Electrical Engineering, , Industrial Technology, or a related field.
Additional training in generator systems or electrical installation is an advantage.
Experience:
3–5 years experience in electrical assembly, generator assembly, industrial equipment assembly, or related manufacturing roles.
Experience working with diesel/gas generator sets, control panels, or industrial power equipment is preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of electrical wiring, connections, and component installation.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
Good understanding of generator components (alternators, controllers, sensors, batteries).
Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing instruments.
Strong attention to detail, quality focus, and problem-solving ability.
Ability to work effectively in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
