We are seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant specializing in immigration to join our growing team. Compensation and Hours
We offer a competitive hourly salary ranging from $36.00 to $42.00 per hour, with the exact compensation to be negotiated based on qualifications and experience. This full-time position involves 30 to 40 hours of work per week, providing a stable work schedule that allows for a healthy work-life balance. Key Responsibilities
As our Immigration Legal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our immigration law practice. Your responsibilities will include coordinating the flow of information between clients, lawyers, and relevant government agencies, ensuring that all communications are timely and accurate. You will be responsible for scheduling and confirming appointments with clients, court officials, and other stakeholders, maintaining an organized and efficient calendar system.
Administrative Support
You will provide essential administrative support by maintaining a comprehensive filing system for all immigration cases, ensuring that documents are securely stored and easily accessible when needed. This includes preparing and keying in correspondence and legal documents with precision and attention to detail. Additionally, you will record and prepare minutes of court sessions, meetings, and conferences, creating accurate documentation that supports our legal team’s case preparation and client representation efforts.
Document Management and Quality Control
A key aspect of this role involves reviewing and proofreading all documents and correspondence to ensure compliance with legal procedures and grammatical standards. Your keen eye for detail will help maintain the highest professional standards in all our communications and legal filings. You will be responsible for ensuring that all documentation meets the rigorous requirements of Canadian immigration authorities, minimizing the risk of processing delays or rejections due to administrative errors.
