The Opportunity
We are seeking a Band 7 Specialist Rotational Pharmacist to join our dynamic Pharmacy Team. You’ll work with cutting-edge technology including EPMA (embedded for over 10 years), dispensing systems, stock control, Omnicell, and pharmacy robotics.

Job Responsibilities
As a Specialist Rotational Pharmacist, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on prescribing decisions, undertake rotations in various clinical areas, monitor prescriptions, develop patient-centered pharmaceutical care plans, ensure seamless pharmaceutical care through accurate drug histories and discharge planning, and contribute to medicines safety and quality improvement initiatives.
Core Duties
Your responsibilities will include mentoring and training other pharmacy and healthcare professionals, providing line management support, participating in education and health promotion activities, representing pharmacy in Trust meetings, and contributing to a weekday service with some weekend and on-call duties (home-based with initial screening).
Professional Development
We provide comprehensive support for your foundation training and opportunities to develop specialist skills in a range of clinical areas. This experience will help prepare you for future Advanced-level practice within the NHS.
Person Specification
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must hold a Master of Pharmacy degree and be currently listed on the Pharmacist Register with the GPhC. You should also have a Diploma in pharmacy practice or equivalent experience, and have completed general level framework competency training.
Essential Experience
We require significant experience of working in a pharmaceutical environment, substantial clinical pharmacy knowledge and experience, and significant experience of working in hospital pharmacy settings. You should also have specialist knowledge and experience in clinical speciality.
Knowledge Requirements
Applicants should demonstrate knowledge of national guidelines relating to medicines and pharmaceutical practice. This includes understanding of medicines management systems and their application in a clinical setting.
