The Head of Security Operation at Dangote Cement Transport Obajana will oversee all aspects of security operations to ensure the safety and protection of company personnel, assets, and infrastructure.
The role involves strategic planning, directing security personnel, and coordinating security systems and protocols across all sites.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies and policies aligned with corporate objectives.
Manage the daily operations of the security department, ensuring adherence to all security protocols and procedures.
Lead and mentor a team of security professionals, fostering a culture of vigilance and accountability.
Conduct risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
Coordinate with law enforcement agencies, emergency responders, and other external stakeholders.
Oversee incident response, investigation, and reporting processes for security events and breaches.
Manage the security budget and control costs effectively.
Stay current with security technology trends and regulations, integrating new systems and processes where appropriate.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Security Management, Criminology, or related field.
5-7 years’ experience in security operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
Experience in industrial or large corporate security environments is preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Proficiency in risk assessment and security audit methodologies.
Knowledge of security systems, surveillance technology, and emergency response planning.
