Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our operations in Scarborough, ON. The work location is on-site, requiring the successful candidate to work from our office during regular business hours. Compensation and Benefits
Casic Apparels Inc. offers a competitive hourly wage of $39.80 for this Administrative Assistant position. This position involves 80 hours per pay period on a bi-weekly schedule. Employment Terms
This is a permanent, full-time position with an expected start date of April 30, 2026. The successful candidate will be joining our team of 5-10 people and will play a crucial role in our daily operations. We are looking for someone who can commit to a long-term relationship with our company.
Key Responsibilities
The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for coordinating the flow of information within our team. This includes establishing and implementing policies and procedures, recording and preparing minutes of meetings, seminars, and conferences, and determining office procedures and routines.
Administrative Duties
Daily responsibilities will include scheduling and confirming appointments, managing contracts, overseeing the development of communication strategies, compiling data, statistics, and other information, and responding to employee questions and complaints.
Information Management
The successful candidate will set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems, perform data entry, and maintain and manage our digital database. Strong organizational skills are essential for maintaining accurate and up-to-date information across all systems.
Communication Coordination
This position requires working closely with various departments, particularly with the marketing department to understand and communicate marketing messages to the field. The Administrative Assistant will also answer electronic enquiries and oversee the development of communication strategies.
Contract and Supplier Management
Additional responsibilities include managing training and development strategies, preparing purchase orders, establishing and maintaining contact with suppliers, and coordinating activities with warehouse and production units.
Required Skills and Experience
Candidates must demonstrate proficiency with various software applications including Google Docs, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, MS Word, electronic schedulers, MS Project, and Adobe Acrobat Reader. Experience with Google Drive and electronic mail systems is also required.
Technical Proficiency
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with scheduling packages and familiarity with legal, business, and contract management systems. Social media management experience would be considered an additional asset for this position.
Organizational Skills
Strong organizational abilities are essential for managing multiple tasks simultaneously, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring that office operations run smoothly. The successful candidate must be detail-oriented and able to prioritize effectively in a busy environment.
