Job Overview
We are currently seeking qualified Industrial Coaters to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. This position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $40.00 to $50.00 (to be negotiated) and provides an excellent opportunity for career growth in a specialized field. The position is located in Squamish, BC, V8B 0M8. Work Schedule
This full-time position offers flexible scheduling options, including early morning, morning, day, evening, and night shifts, as well as weekend availability. The standard work week consists of 35 to 40 hours, with the exact schedule to be determined based on operational needs. We offer a variable or compressed work week to accommodate work-life balance.

Required Certifications

- First Aid Certificate
- Forklift Operator Certification
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
- Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate
Required Experience
Candidates should have hands-on experience in various coating and metal finishing techniques. We are looking for individuals with experience in:
- Construction materials or coatings
- General metal products
- Chemical techniques
- Masking procedures
- Sandblasting operations
- Airless gravity pump systems
- Automated spray painting
- Brush and pencil application methods
- Electrostatic coating methods
- Hand-held spray guns
- Metal spray equipment operation
- Micrometer measurement and quality control
Key Responsibilities
The Industrial Coater will be responsible for various tasks related to surface preparation, coating application, and quality control. Key responsibilities include:
- Cleaning and maintaining the work area to ensure a safe and organized environment
- Organizing and maintaining inventory of coating materials and equipment
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and technical specifications
- Checking proper thickness of plating using micrometers, callipers, and other measurement devices
- Cleaning and maintaining all coating equipment to ensure optimal performance
Equipment Operation
A significant part of this role involves operating various types of coating equipment:
- Operating and controlling electroplating equipment to coat metal surfaces
- Managing hot-dip metal plating equipment to galvanize metal components
- Using spray equipment to build up worn or damaged parts
- Painting small items and applying touch-ups using paint brushes
- Tending automatic metal coating machines that convey objects through cleaning, rinsing, and plating solutions
- Operating equipment to prepare items for application of protective or decorative coatings
- Tending or operating equipment to spray or coat various surfaces
Coating Application Techniques
Candidates should be proficient in various coating application methods, including:
- Preparing and applying stencils, decals, or other decorative items on finished products
- Preparing and mixing metallizing solutions according to formulas or specifications
- Selecting appropriate paint types or mixing paints to achieve desired finishes
- Ensuring proper surface preparation before coating application
- Applying coatings evenly and consistently to meet quality standards
