Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Floor Manager to join our retail team. This full-time, permanent position offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from $3,900 to $4,500 CAD, with the potential for negotiation based on experience and qualifications. The ideal candidate will have a passion for retail operations, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the sports merchandise market.
Location and Hours
This position is located at our retail store at 102 W Broadway, Vancouver, BC V5Y 1P3. As a Floor Manager, you will be working on-site with a schedule that includes morning, day, evening, and weekend shifts. The position requires 40 hours per week, with flexibility to cover various shifts as needed to ensure smooth store operations.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive monthly salary of $3,900 to $4,500 CAD, with the possibility of negotiation based on your experience and qualifications. Key Responsibilities
As our Floor Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store. Your primary duties include directing and controlling all floor activities, evaluating daily performance metrics, and planning organized workflows to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Staff Management
You will play a crucial role in managing our retail team, assigning daily duties, and ensuring that all staff members are properly trained and motivated. This includes scheduling staff, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and excellence.
Merchandising Decisions
The Floor Manager will study market research and trends to determine consumer demand for sports merchandise. Based on your findings, you’ll help determine which products and services to offer in our store, locate and select merchandise for resale, and develop strategies to optimize our inventory mix.
Marketing Strategy
You will collaborate with the management team to develop and implement effective marketing strategies that drive sales and increase customer engagement. This includes creating promotional campaigns, managing visual merchandising, and implementing pricing strategies that align with our clearance model.
Operational Excellence
Maintaining smooth daily operations is essential to our business success. You’ll be responsible for ordering supplies, maintaining accurate inventory records, and resolving any issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
Required Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must have relevant experience in both mechanical and retail environments. We are looking for individuals who have demonstrated leadership abilities and a strong understanding of retail operations, inventory management, and customer service excellence.
Experience Requirements
Previous experience in a retail management role is highly preferred. Candidates should have a proven track record of successfully managing daily store operations, leading teams, and achieving sales targets. Experience in the sports retail industry is considered an asset but not required.
