About the Role
We have embarked on a programme to implement a single Electronic Patient Record (EPR) as part of the NHS digital health ongoing initiative across the Norfolk and Waveney Acute Hospital Collaborative (NWAHC). This is a unique opportunity to contribute your skills and expertise to create a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of individuals throughout Norfolk and Waveney.
The collaborative is made up of three acute hospitals in Norfolk and Waveney: James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (JPUH), Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NNUH), and The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King’s Lynn NHS Foundation Trust (QEH).

Key Responsibilities
The Lead Digital Health Clinical Safety Officer will play a key role in the implementation of the Trust’s Digital Clinical Safety Strategy, ensuring the effective and efficient use of healthcare associated technologies to support the delivery of high quality and safe patient care.
The post holder will be responsible for leading and providing expertise on effective clinical risk management of all Digital Health Applications and IT systems ensuring compliance with safety standards, DCB0129 and DCB0160.
Working in collaboration with colleagues at the James Paget University Hospitals, Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, the Lead Clinical Safety Officer will support the development of a shared clinical safety approach for all healthcare associated technologies and a clinical risk management plan that will underpin the development and implementation of the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) solution.
This role is essential to prioritising continuous improvements to the digital culture of the organisation. The post holder will be flexible and adaptable and be able to champion and support the safe implementation of new digital solutions.
Applying knowledge and previous experience of implementing strategies to ensure clinical safety of digital systems, the Lead Digital Health Clinical Safety Officer will act as a primary point of contact and escalation.

Essential Qualifications
Experienced Clinical Safety Officer with portfolio of evidence to demonstrate practice and achievements.
Registered healthcare professional with current UK registration- Valid NMC, GMC, HCPC registration required.
Educated at degree level in a health-related subject or equivalent experience.
Working knowledge and experience of all relevant UK legislation relating to Clinical Safety including DCB0129 and DCB0160 standards.
Essential Skills

Flexibility to work within a collaborative office space at Norfolk County Hall, at one of the 3-Acute hospitals and from home with at least one day a week onsite presence.
Work with a multi-disciplinary team of experienced, Clinicians, Technicians, Digital Nurses, and Data Scientists.
