NELFT North East London Foundation Trust is seeking a Community Child and Adolescent Consultant Psychiatrist to join their team in Southend-on-Sea. Job Responsibilities
You will be expected to work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to children and young people with mental health needs across Southend-on-Sea. Your role will involve providing senior medical support and guidance to the team, working directly with young people and their families, and liaising appropriately with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals.
Key Duties
As a Community Child and Adolescent Consultant Psychiatrist, you will participate in the on-call rota with a frequency of 1:7, which includes a 2% of basic salary, Category B on-call supplement. You will support your peers and team leader while being an effective team member, and you will work alongside a 0.8wte Specialty Doctor within the service.

Essential Requirements
Applicants must have full GMC registration with a licence to practice and hold CCT or equivalent qualifications. You must also have Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it, Approved Clinician status or eligibility for it, and be included in, or eligible for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST.

Working Pattern
This is a substantive, full-time post consisting of 10 Programmed Activities (DCC:SPA = 7.5:2.5) with the option for an additional PA. The post is based at Skyline Plaza, 45 Victoria Avenue, Southend-on-Sea, Essex, SS2 6BB.
Team Structure
You will join a 0.8wte Specialty Doctor within the service and will have the opportunity to influence future direction, treatment, and models of design in the area in which you work. This replacement post is currently vacant and the Trust aims to recruit as soon as possible.
